Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations

The Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations is an integrated, multidisciplinary degree examining employment relations within their social, legal, political and economic context. It is delivered in partnership between Portage College and Athabasca University, with students splitting coursework between the two institutions through a combination of in-person, hybrid and distance learning. Portage College hosts local coursework while Athabasca University delivers the remaining courses online, giving students access to a labour-relations-focused degree without relocating. Intakes run in fall, winter and spring, each with its own application deadline. Admission from high school requires a minimum average of 60%, with no mark below 50%, in English Language Arts 30-1 and four other Grade 12-level courses. International applicants are assessed on transcripts and may need to complete a Grade 12 English proficiency exam.
