Business Administration Certificate

This certificate programme prepares students for entry-level accounting and administrative roles across sectors such as tourism, health, education, retail, and oil and gas. Delivered through Portage College's Multi-Access Learning model, which lets students move between in-person and online instruction, the programme runs over one academic year at the Cold Lake and Lac La Biche campuses. Class sizes are kept small, with more instructional hours devoted to applying concepts than at larger institutions. Coursework is transferable toward Portage College diploma programmes or as a 30-credit block at other Alberta post-secondary institutions. Students who wish to continue their studies can take an additional year to complete a diploma in accounting or management. The programme is open to international students and has a single intake each Fall term, with tuition and mandatory fees billed by term across the academic year.
