Music Theatre is offered as a performance stream within the Bachelor of Music degree at the DAN School of Drama and Music, Queen's University. The stream covers Music Theatre from multiple angles, including performance, scholarship, history, theory, technical production and creation. Applicants apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre and must complete a Voice/Music Theatre audition consisting of a repertoire component, which allows some choice in material to showcase a range of artistic ability, and a technical component assessing vocal or instrumental facility. Auditions can be completed in person or through an online submission, and applicants attending in person are able to tour the school's facilities and meet current students and faculty. The stream draws on the wider Bachelor of Music curriculum and can be combined with study in Drama, Music and Film & Media offered elsewhere at the DAN School.
