The Department of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences offers a thesis-based Master of Science (MSc) research degree at Queen's University. Students select one of five Fields of Specialization reflecting the department's research strengths: Biochemistry and Cell Biology; Experimental Medicine; Microbes, Immunity, and Inflammation; Reproduction and Developmental Sciences; and Therapeutics, Drug Development, and Human Toxicology. The program combines coursework with an original research thesis conducted under faculty supervision. Related pathways in the department include a combined BScH/MSc program, an MSc in Anatomical Sciences, and joint MD/PhD or MD/Master routes. Thesis-based MSc students enrolled in the department's graduate program receive a funding package to help cover living expenses and tuition.
