The Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate at Red Deer Polytechnic adds machine-learning and data analytics skills to an existing bachelor's degree. The standard route runs three terms over 1.5 years; a Co-op Specialization extends this to four terms over two years and includes a competitive, 420-hour work placement. Coursework covers data mining and text scraping, data preprocessing and exploratory analysis, machine learning algorithm development, data engineering, and the secure and responsible deployment of models. Most courses are delivered on-campus, with some limited online options. Admission requires a four-year Canadian degree, or equivalent, in any discipline, plus a prior course in statistics such as Business Statistics I or Introduction to Statistics. Students not meeting the Co-op Specialization's prerequisites, including 30 completed credits and a job offer, graduate with the standard certificate instead. Graduates pursue roles such as data analyst, machine learning analyst, AI technologist, business intelligence analyst and GIS technician.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires successful completion of a four-year Canadian degree, or equivalent, in any discipline from a recognized institution, plus a prior course in statistics such as Business Statistics I or Introduction to Statistics, or an equivalent; degrees earned outside Canada require a transcript assessment (WES or IQAS may be required). Applicants whose first language is not English must show three years of full-time English-medium schooling, ELA 30-1/30-2 at 60%, an approved pathway program, or one of: CAEL 60 (55 per band), Duolingo 115-125, IELTS Academic 6.5 (5.5 per band), MET 61 (58 per band), PTE 59 (56 per band), Oxford ELLT 7, or TOEFL 83 iBT/557 PBT. The Co-op Specialization additionally requires a minimum of 30 completed credits, good academic standing, completion of CEED Work Readiness modules, and a secured job offer.
