This 15-week certificate program prepares students to operate and maintain boilers and related mechanical equipment, including air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and steam or hot water boilers used to supply heat, climate control, and power in buildings and industrial processes. It is delivered full-time at the Notre Dame Campus with a September intake. The program is recognized as Advanced Status by Manitoba's Office of the Fire Commissioner, preparing graduates to sit the Office's Fifth Class Power Engineer certifying examinations. Graduates are prepared for entry-level power engineering roles in facilities, institutional, and industrial settings that rely on boiler and mechanical utility systems, and the certificate can lead into RRC Polytech's Power Engineering Technology (4th Class) program for further advancement.
