Game Development - Programming is a two-year advanced diploma with a Game Programming specialization stream, delivered on campus at the Manitou a bi Bii daziigae, Exchange District Campus in Winnipeg. Students build video games through collaborative, team-based projects, solving creative and technical development challenges while assembling a professional portfolio. The curriculum covers creating and editing game-ready assets, documenting project requirements, researching and applying information to improve outcomes, and managing projects by working with stakeholders within production timelines and schedules. The program includes a 12-week Work Integrated Learning term that alternates classroom study with an industry placement, giving students practical workplace experience, industry contacts, and a competitive advantage when they graduate. Admission is competitive and based on a portfolio evaluation submitted after application, with a single September intake and an annual application deadline of March 1.
