Program details
Overview
A graduate certificate for professionals who lead organizational change, taught by an ACMP-recognized Qualified Educational Provider so coursework earns ACMP-eligible hours. Students learn to connect change initiatives to organizational strategy and build practical capability in communication, stakeholder engagement and measuring the impact of change work, while treating culture, power and influence as part of the system being changed. The whole-systems approach is meant to leave graduates able to plan and deliver change against strategic goals rather than manage it ad hoc. Two residency formats are offered: a one-week in-person residency at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, or the same residency delivered virtually, each running roughly five to seven hours of synchronous class daily plus individual and team assignments.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Standard admission requires a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, normally with at least three years of relevant full-time work experience. Flexible admission instead requires at least five full-time years of extensive relevant work experience combined with some post-secondary education. Applicants submit a one-page personal statement, two reference letters, a detailed resume covering education, work, volunteer experience and IT skills, and official transcripts; international credentials require evaluation, and no minimum GPA is stated. English-language proficiency defers to Royal Roads' general requirement for third-year entry and graduate programs: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (minimum 6.5 in writing and speaking, 6.0 in listening and reading) or TOEFL iBT 88 overall (minimum 24 writing, 20 in listening, reading and speaking).
Application Details
Application Deadline:Royal Roads University sets no single university-wide deadline: domestic and international applicants apply directly to the university through the same process, and every programme page checked shows one identical deadline for both. RRU consistently closes a programme's application exactly three calendar months before that programme's own intake start date — a September 2027 intake typically closes 7 June 2027 — though a few programmes (the Master of Global Management, for example) use a six-month lead instead. Each programme lists its own upcoming intakes, running from 2026 into 2028 depending on the programme, and RRU says it may still accept a late application if space and processing time remain, but it publishes no separate international deadline and no institution-wide equal-consideration or rolling policy. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
