Royal Roads University offers Leadership Graduate Certificate, a postgraduate certificate in Management & Leadership programme in Victoria, Canada. The programme runs for 3 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 10,548 per total (CAD 7,501 per total for local students).
Completed in about three months for nine credits, this certificate gives working leaders a grounding in leadership theory alongside hands-on practice facilitating and leading teams. It shares its three courses with the opening term of the Master of Arts in Leadership, so students study alongside master's candidates and can later apply their credits toward that degree, its health-sector specialization, or the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. Depending on intake, the program runs as a blend of online study and a two-week on-campus residency, or entirely online with a virtual residency component, and builds a systems mindset for leading with greater self- and cultural awareness.
Requirements
Minimum GPA:3.33 / 4.33
Admission Requirements: Standard admission requires a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum GPA of B+ (3.33/4.33) and normally at least five years of leadership experience; emerging leaders with at least two years in a recent leadership or people-management role may also apply if they demonstrate exceptional potential. Applicants below the GPA threshold, or away from academic writing for ten or more years, must complete the Academic Writing and Critical Thinking course. Flexible admission is available with at least 10 years of professional experience including five years of leadership experience, plus the same writing-course requirement. The programme page does not itself list English test scores, asking only for an official proficiency report if English is not the applicant's first language; it defers in effect to Royal Roads' institution-wide graduate requirements: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.5 in writing and speaking and 6.0 in listening and reading, or TOEFL iBT 88 overall with a minimum 24 in writing and 20 in listening, reading and speaking. Applicants also submit two professional references, a two-page personal statement, a writing sample and transcripts.
Application Details
Start Date:December
Application Deadline:Royal Roads University sets no single university-wide deadline: domestic and international applicants apply directly to the university through the same process, and every programme page checked shows one identical deadline for both. RRU consistently closes a programme's application exactly three calendar months before that programme's own intake start date — a September 2027 intake typically closes 7 June 2027 — though a few programmes (the Master of Global Management, for example) use a six-month lead instead. Each programme lists its own upcoming intakes, running from 2026 into 2028 depending on the programme, and RRU says it may still accept a late application if space and processing time remain, but it publishes no separate international deadline and no institution-wide equal-consideration or rolling policy. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
