Overview
A blended graduate certificate on leading a global workforce with both strategy and empathy. Students examine the challenges and opportunities of thinking cross-culturally, learn strategies for leading high-performing teams and raising organizational performance, and work through personal coaching sessions that develop their emotional intelligence and their own leadership style. The intended result is a leader able to create and maintain positive, productive relationships in a complex, international workplace. It fits experienced managers seeking insight into their own leadership abilities, people who want to develop others into strong leaders, and human resources professionals building expertise in the global workforce. Delivery pairs online courses, made up of readings, synchronous or asynchronous lectures, discussion and individual and team assignments, with an on-campus residency, and opens with a required non-credit academic integrity course. Nine credits transfer into the Royal Roads MBA.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Standard admission requires completion of a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, normally with at least five years of full-time relevant work experience, including three years at a management level with increasing responsibility. Flexible admission assesses the combination of work experience, education and professional development, normally requiring at least ten years of full-time relevant work experience with five years at a management level. The programme page defers to Royal Roads University's institution-wide English language requirement for applicants whose first language is not English or who were not educated in English: for third-year-entry and graduate programs, IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.5 in writing and speaking and 6.0 in listening and reading, or TOEFL iBT 88 overall with a minimum 24 in writing and 20 in listening, reading and speaking. Applicants also submit a two-to-three-page statement of intent, a detailed résumé and reference letters; transcript requirements are set as a condition of admission.

Application Deadline:Royal Roads University sets no single university-wide deadline: domestic and international applicants apply directly to the university through the same process, and every programme page checked shows one identical deadline for both. RRU consistently closes a programme's application exactly three calendar months before that programme's own intake start date — a September 2027 intake typically closes 7 June 2027 — though a few programmes (the Master of Global Management, for example) use a six-month lead instead. Each programme lists its own upcoming intakes, running from 2026 into 2028 depending on the programme, and RRU says it may still accept a late application if space and processing time remain, but it publishes no separate international deadline and no institution-wide equal-consideration or rolling policy. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
