Management Consulting Graduate Certificate is a postgraduate certificate in Management & Leadership programme taught at Royal Roads University in Victoria, Canada. The programme is delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 12,032 per total (CAD 8,822 per total for local students).
A fully online graduate certificate for experienced professionals moving into consulting work or earning credits toward the Certified Management Consultant designation. Students study the theory and practice of diagnosing problems in an organization and developing recommendations to solve them, covering situation assessment, managing large consulting projects, contributing strategic solutions using best practices, engaging stakeholders in organizational change and building strong client relationships. The preparation is sector-agnostic, aimed at consulting work anywhere. Courses combine assigned readings, synchronous or asynchronous lectures, interactive discussion and individual and team assignments, and open with a required non-credit introduction to academic integrity before coursework such as Change Management. Credits can be applied toward the MBA in Executive Management or the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies, and the certificate can also be completed as an MBA specialization or as an embedded credential in the MA.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Standard admission requires completion of a four-year (or comparable) undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, normally with at least five years of full-time relevant work experience, including three years at a management level with increasing responsibility. Flexible admission assesses the combination of work experience, education and professional development, normally requiring at least ten years of full-time relevant work experience with five years at a management level. The programme page defers to Royal Roads University's institution-wide English language requirement for applicants whose first language is not English or who were not educated in English: for third-year-entry and graduate programs, IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.5 in writing and speaking and 6.0 in listening and reading, or TOEFL iBT 88 overall with a minimum 24 in writing and 20 in listening, reading and speaking. Applicants also submit a two-to-three-page statement of intent, a detailed résumé and reference letters; transcript requirements are set as a condition of admission.
Application Details
Start Date:January, February and August
Application Deadline:Royal Roads University sets no single university-wide deadline: domestic and international applicants apply directly to the university through the same process, and every programme page checked shows one identical deadline for both. RRU consistently closes a programme's application exactly three calendar months before that programme's own intake start date — a September 2027 intake typically closes 7 June 2027 — though a few programmes (the Master of Global Management, for example) use a six-month lead instead. Each programme lists its own upcoming intakes, running from 2026 into 2028 depending on the programme, and RRU says it may still accept a late application if space and processing time remain, but it publishes no separate international deadline and no institution-wide equal-consideration or rolling policy. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
