PGCert in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics

This post-graduate certificate is designed for graduates of information and communications technology degrees who want to move into data analysis and machine learning. Coursework covers Python programming, business intelligence, machine learning algorithms, AI application programming interfaces, enterprise data architecture, the ethical issues surrounding big data, and emerging AI applications in business. The program runs 32 weeks full time on the Saskatoon campus and is delivered on campus, with students required to bring their own laptop meeting minimum specifications. Admission requires a conferred bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum GPA of 60%, together with Saskatchewan Polytechnic's English Language Requirement; international students from institutions with a valid memorandum of understanding may be admitted after their third year of a four-year degree, provided they meet the same GPA minimum. Students are admitted through the First Qualified/First Admitted process, with applications opening each September 1 for September or January starts. Graduates are prepared to analyze large, multi-source datasets and apply machine learning techniques to detect patterns and forecast trends.
