Students in this role prepare to work directly with patients, performing ECGs and collecting blood samples for laboratory analysis. Inside the lab, they support other professionals by sorting and preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, carrying out basic testing under supervision, and managing data on computers. Two semesters of classroom and laboratory instruction are followed by a field placement held in the labs of partner hospitals and other private institutions.
