This undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor's degree in physics and computer science from Universite de Montreal, delivered full-time or part-time through day courses on the Montreal and MIL campuses. The interdisciplinary curriculum builds knowledge of physical phenomena alongside fundamental computer science, training students to address complex problems with quantitative and computational methods across multiple application domains. After a common foundation, students choose one of three paths: emphasizing physics, emphasizing computer science, or balancing the two disciplines equally. A four-year extended pathway and part-time study are available. The program is designed for students who want to combine physics with computational training, preparing them for graduate study in physics, computer science or applied science, or for careers that require both quantitative modelling and software skills.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry from a Quebec DEC (or equivalent) is available to college and university-educated candidates, with excellence of the academic record serving as the sole selection criterion; the published minimum cote de rendement collegial (cote R) is 25.0003. Because instruction is in French, applicants who did not complete their prior schooling entirely in French must provide results of an accepted French test meeting at least B2 in oral and written comprehension, taken within 24 months prior to the programme start, and may be required to complete a mandatory written French assessment after admission. The 90-credit programme runs full-time or part-time over three years, with a four-year extended pathway available, admitting for both the Winter and Autumn trimesters: the Winter 2027 deadline is 1 November 2026, and the Autumn 2027 deadline is 1 March 2027 for CEGEP applicants or 1 February 2027 for university and out-of-province applicants.
