— it helps other students.
Building on Certificat de traduction 1, this certificate lets students specialize in a preferred translation domain or explore several. It supports the transition to professional practice through an optional workplace internship or mentorship, and introduces translation project management and advisory work. The curriculum deepens skills in terminology, linguistic transfer, adaptation, revision, and computer-assisted translation and localization tools, and is recognized on the job market and by the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ), which gives access to its mentorship program. The 30-credit undergraduate certificate is offered evenings and weekends at the Montreal campus, is taught by language-industry specialists, and can be completed full-time or part-time; it can also be combined with Certificat de traduction 1 toward a baccalauréat par cumul in translation.
