Program details

Overview

This program awards a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration through a 90-credit, full-time curriculum completed over three years, offered at the University of Sherbrooke's main campus and its Longueuil campus, with admission in the fall and winter terms. It follows a cooperative structure that alternates academic sessions with work internships, and it provides multidisciplinary applied management training focused on decision-making, ethics, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Students choose from nine specialized tracks, offered in French or bilingual French-English versions, including international commerce, accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, taxation, human resources management, business technologies management, and marketing; a double concentration or an individualized pathway is also possible. The program is designed to give graduates practical management competencies they can apply immediately in professional settings. It suits students seeking a broad, applied business education with the flexibility to specialize in a specific management discipline, paired with cooperative work terms that build workplace experience alongside academic study.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission follows Universite de Sherbrooke's general first-cycle admission condition set out in the Reglement des etudes. Before starting the program, applicants must have passed at least one college-level mathematics course coded 201 or 360 (differential calculus, linear algebra and vector geometry, integral calculus, or quantitative analysis in the humanities, or an equivalent); those choosing the specialized pathway or a double concentration in finance or marketing are additionally advised to complete both differential calculus (201-103/201-SH2) and linear algebra and vector geometry (201-105/201-SH4). Holders of a DEC in accounting and management techniques (410.B0) or business management techniques (410.D0) receive up to 15 transfer credits under the DEC-BAC bridge. Students in the bilingual pathway must have adequate English to succeed in courses taught in English, with self-placement level 4 recommended by the university's Centre de langues. Co-op eligibility requires maintaining a cumulative average of at least 2.0 on a 4.3 scale. The page does not itself publish a French-language test score requirement.
