Overview
This 90-credit doctoral program in administration (DBA) is offered jointly with the Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres, full-time, with admission in the fall term only. All 90 credits are required, comprising seminars on the decisional, organizational, and human foundations of management, applied research methodology, a specialization seminar, a business residency, a comprehensive examination, a research proposal, and a thesis. The program prepares graduates to act as senior managers or specialized consultants addressing complex problems in business administration, or as researcher-professors able to develop rigorous, pragmatic approaches to studying and solving organizational problems. It develops the ability to design and independently carry out applied research projects in business administration, contribute original insight into complex organizational problems in a globalized economy, and communicate scientific and professional findings. The program is delivered at the Sherbrooke campus.

Minimum GPA:3.30 / 4.3
Admission Requirements: Applicants must hold a master's degree in management or administration (M.Sc., MBA, M.Adm., or M.Fisc.) or another master's judged relevant to their intended doctoral research. A minimum cumulative average of 3.3 on a 4.3 scale (or equivalent academic standing) is required, along with at least three years of relevant experience in business or an institutional setting. Candidates must demonstrate strong French proficiency (CEFR level C1, a score of 500 or higher out of 699, unless exempted) and a good understanding of written English. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation, a current curriculum vitae, a letter of motivation, a statement of research interests, and must identify a School of Management faculty member willing to supervise their research, before attending an admission interview. The program is offered full-time, with admission in the fall term only.
