This program is a research doctorate (Ph.D.) in Physiology at the Universite de Sherbrooke, based on the Health Sciences campus in Sherbrooke, with admission in the fall, winter, and summer terms. The 90-credit, full-time curriculum offers a regular pathway plus specialized pathways in biophysics and endocrinology, and candidates interested in one of these specializations are invited to contact the program's leadership. Students independently design, develop, and carry out an original research project in physiology, with a specialization in biophysics or endocrinology where applicable, working within multidisciplinary teams alongside other researchers. The program trains candidates to critically analyze the scientific literature and communicate their results, whether experimental or theoretical, through seminars, conferences, and articles. Depending on the pathway, students develop applied research knowledge either in general physiology, biophysics, or endocrinology, contributing to the understanding of problems in their specialization and to the development of approaches addressing them, culminating in an original doctoral thesis.
