This 30-credit certificate provides training in sustainable energy resources, offered at the Montreal campus on a full-time or part-time basis with fall and winter admission. Seven mandatory courses (21 credits) cover energy fundamentals, renewable energy resources, and sustainable housing and building practices, giving students a technical grounding in how energy systems are produced, managed, and made more sustainable. Students then choose three elective courses from two thematic blocks, one addressing the legal and economic dimensions of energy and the other addressing healthy-building technologies, letting them orient the certificate toward policy or technical building applications. Credits earned in the certificate may count toward a cumulative bachelor of science pathway at the university. The program suits candidates seeking a foundation in renewable and sustainable energy for technical, policy-related, or environmental roles, or as a stepping stone toward further science study.
