The Maitrise en finance appliquee at UQAM is a professional, non-thesis master's program that trains portfolio managers, financial analysts, and corporate finance specialists. The 45-credit curriculum combines theoretical and applied coursework addressing portfolio management, financial analysis, and corporate finance practice. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in business sciences, economics, accounting, actuarial science, mathematics, or engineering, with prior study in statistics and differential and integral calculus. Full-time students complete the program in five trimesters; part-time students take up to nine trimesters. Courses are scheduled during the day and in the evening. The program admits students for the fall and winter trimesters. It is delivered by UQAM's Ecole des sciences de la gestion (ESG UQAM) and leads to a professional master's credential distinct from the university's thesis-based finance program.
