This master's programme is designed for situations where no standard UQAR programme fits a student's training needs, allowing an individualized curriculum combining existing courses and research activities. It totals 45 credits, structured as a minimum of 12 credits of coursework, including research methodology, with thesis and research activities making up at least half of the programme's credits. Candidates must secure a research supervisor before applying, since the customized plan of study is built around that supervisor's area of expertise. Courses are delivered on campus at the Rimouski or Lévis campus. Admission is open for the Fall, Winter, and Summer trimesters. The programme leads to a Master of Science or Master of Arts, depending on the student's field of study, and is administered under UQAR programme code 2160.
