MA/MS in Social Work (Internship)

This 45-credit professional master's program leads to a Maîtrise ès arts in social work, second cycle, professional class. It enriches social work practice through critical, reflexive examination of intervention, combined with a supervised internship in the field of social work rather than a research thesis. The program develops advanced practice and analytical skills for social work professionals seeking to deepen their intervention expertise, and requires a relevant bachelor's degree with a minimum academic average for admission. It is offered at UQO's Gatineau and Saint-Jérôme campuses, with admission in the fall, winter, and summer terms, on a full-time or part-time basis. The minimum cumulative average required for admission is 3.2 out of 4.3, and French-language proficiency, such as a TFI score of at least 750 out of 990, is mandatory.
