This Bachelor of Music in Composition combines general music training with practical composition instruction across classical, contemporary, popular and film music. The 90-credit, three-year curriculum covers orchestration, jazz, world music, ensemble direction and music history alongside music-technology skills in recording, mixing and post-production, balanced with foundational theory, ear training and creative practice. Elective courses allow students to tailor the programme to individual interests. Applicants must submit a portfolio of at least two notated compositions along with recordings where available. Graduates pursue careers as composers, arrangers, film-score composers or music educators, and the programme also prepares students for graduate studies in composition.
