The Bachelor of Music in Musicology (B. Mus.) is a 90-credit, three-year full-time program that provides grounding in music research methods alongside broader humanities skills. Coursework covers music history, analysis, theory, and aesthetics across classical, jazz, popular, and world music traditions. Unlike other music pathways at the institution, this program does not require an instrumental audition for admission. Students without prior formal music training complete three first-year prerequisite courses in music theory and ear training. The program prepares graduates for further study or careers in music research, criticism, education, and cultural or arts administration. It admits students in the Fall and Winter terms.
