The Certificate in Music - Musical Culture at Université Laval introduces the essential elements of music and the main musical genres, approaching music from historical, artistic and aesthetic perspectives. The 30-credit programme is designed for full-time completion in about one year, part-time study is possible, and up to 15 credits of prior learning may be recognized. The programme can be followed partially or entirely at a distance, with hybrid and comodal options also available for specific courses. Admission is open to Quebec DEC holders, to applicants from the rest of Canada with a secondary diploma plus one year of university study, and to international applicants with 13 years of pre-university education or 12 years plus one year of higher education.
