This interdisciplinary PhD programme trains students to conduct original research in rehabilitation sciences, covering the biological mechanisms underlying disabilities, social factors affecting access to health services, the development of interventions, and related policy analysis. The programme comprises 90 credits and is completed full-time over an estimated three years, combining coursework with a doctoral thesis carried out under the supervision of a faculty researcher. Most instruction is delivered on campus, with some courses offered in distance or hybrid format. The credential awarded is a Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D.) from Universite Laval. Applicants come from health sciences, humanities, social sciences, or engineering backgrounds, and graduates typically pursue research or academic careers in rehabilitation-related fields.
