A 45-credit research-based individualized master's program for students whose research interests do not correspond to an existing program at Universite Laval within letters, humanities, or social sciences. Students design a personalized program combining coursework from multiple disciplines with an original thesis, under a research director who must confirm supervision before admission, requiring a high degree of autonomy from students in defining and pursuing their project. The program is completed full-time, normally over two years, with most courses on campus and some offered at a distance, leading to a Master of Arts (M.A.), with admission for the Fall and Winter sessions.
