Environmental Studies (BA)

This program examines the connections between people and the natural world, covering sustainability, land and water management, environmental policy, and resource management, using tools such as Geographic Information Systems and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems. Faculty research areas include biodiversity, climate change adaptation, and sustainable food systems, and the program includes co-op work experience. It leads to a Bachelor of Arts over four years of full-time study, delivered on campus, with intakes in September and January. Admission for Ontario secondary school applicants is based on an average in the mid-70s, including Grade 12 English at a minimum of 60%, with English calculated into the admission average. International applicants are assessed on an equivalent average with senior secondary English at a minimum of 60%, and must have completed their three most recent years of full-time education in English without ESL coursework, or otherwise demonstrate English proficiency. Graduates pursue careers as environmental consultants, urban planners, and policy analysts.
