MA/MS in Earth & Space Science

The Master of Science in Earth & Space Science at York University is a multidisciplinary research program associated with the Centre for Research in Earth & Space Science (CRESS). Students conduct research spanning atmospheric modelling, chemistry, computer science, earth science, geomatics, mathematics, physics and astronomy, and remote sensing and space observation. The program draws on facilities for space engineering and planetary exploration and involves collaborations with Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Canadian Space Agency, the European Space Agency, NASA, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Admission is offered for the fall, winter, and summer terms, with application deadlines that vary by domestic or international status. Applicants submit two letters of recommendation and a Supplementary Information Form; PhD applicants additionally submit a statement of interest, a curriculum vitae or resume, and a list of referees. A PhD in Earth & Space Science is also offered for students pursuing doctoral research.
