— it helps other students.
This program lets students begin their Bachelor of Science at York's Markham Campus, a first-year experience with smaller classes and hands-on inquiry in modern teaching spaces. Students can start in Life Sciences (Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology), Chemical Sciences (Biochemistry, Chemistry), or a general Science stream, with peer mentorship supporting the transition. After completing first year at the Markham Campus, students continue their degree requirements at the Keele Campus. Admission from Ontario secondary school requires English, mathematics, and one of biology, chemistry, or physics at the senior level, plus additional academic courses, with an admission average in the mid-70s. Intake is offered in the fall, winter, and summer terms, and the program suits students who want a smaller first-year cohort before moving into the larger science community at the Keele Campus.

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma holders need ENG4U, MHF4U, one of SBI4U, SCH4U, or SPH4U, plus three additional 4U or M courses, with an overall academic average in the mid-70s and a final average of 70% required to maintain the offer.
