This program leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cognitive Science, offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies at the Keele Campus. The program is the scientific study of the mind and its processes, covering how humans, other animals and machines perceive, feel, think, learn, remember, decide, act and communicate. Students study perception, decision-making, language and artificial intelligence while combining ideas from psychology, neuroscience, computer science and philosophy. Entry is available in the fall, winter and summer terms for both first-year and upper-year students. The program suits students interested in an interdisciplinary approach to mind and intelligence that bridges the humanities, social sciences and computing.
