BA/BS in Logistics

Field-study modules move through the basics of international business and logistics, including transport in logistics processes and production logistics basics, into business logistics management such as simulating logistics processes, international carriage law, and insurance, and the management of logistics processes, covering supply chain management, logistics IT systems, and market research, before an optional focus on either transport management or supply management. Fifteen credits of practice and a thirty-credit final thesis complete the 150-credit field, and a third-year double-degree option is available at a partner institution in Belgium. Learning outcomes include applying the legal norms governing local distribution and international logistics, analysing and controlling the information streams of a logistics system, and assessing the logistics business environment and market tendencies to create, develop, or expand a business. Students also learn to monitor passenger and cargo carriage processes while ensuring quality and material supply, plan and organise supply, purchasing, warehousing, and distribution processes, and apply marketing principles within local and international logistics networks.
