BA/BS in Business Information Systems

The curriculum moves in sequence through an introduction to management information systems, software fundamentals, database technologies, the analysis and development of information systems, specialised information systems courses, project management, computer decision modelling, and general communication technology, with electives in information management, digital services, and information systems security. Mathematics, foreign languages, and elective social-science subjects form the general university component in the first two semesters, while core economics and management subjects cover economic theory, financial accounting, management, statistics, management accounting, and marketing management. Together these build the ability to analyse and develop information systems for business use and to apply economic and management knowledge, such as financial and management accounting and marketing management, to decisions made within those systems.
