Program details
Overview
This college-level informatics programme trains IT specialists to develop and integrate secure software using current programming paradigms and languages, applying modern analysis, design, testing and support methods to solve professional problems across different fields. Subjects move from structural and object-oriented programming, relational databases and computer architecture through website technologies, software architecture and multimedia technologies to agile software development, decision support methods, cybersecurity and big data and analytics. Thirty-six credits of professional practice, covering a programming placement, an IT systems internship and a final internship, build toward the degree alongside coursework, case studies and project presentations. Assessment is cumulative, combining interim tests, individual and group projects and examinations throughout the semester. Graduates are trained to communicate professionally in Lithuanian and at least one foreign language, work responsibly within teams, and take the initiative in solving informatics problems independently.
