BA/BS in Informatics Engineering

This college-level informatics engineering programme trains ethically responsible, entrepreneurial specialists able to design, implement, maintain, test and evaluate secure computer systems and networks for current professional problems. Subjects progress from physics, fundamentals of programming and relational databases through circuit theory, computer architecture, digital logic and microcontrollers to systems engineering, cloud computing, smart device technologies and cybersecurity. Thirty-six credits of practice, covering systems implementation and maintenance, an IT systems placement and a final internship, build toward a twelve-credit graduation paper. Teaching includes lectures, seminars, case studies, mind-mapping and public project defence, with cumulative assessment through interim tests, group projects and term papers across the semester. Graduates can select software and hardware for new or improved systems, implement specialised software using current standards, and prepare technical specifications and documentation for computer engineering products or services.
