This one-year top-up route lets holders of a related diploma or equivalent study convert into a full BA (Hons) in Digital Humanities, with a specialisation geared toward launching a technology start-up. Before teaching begins, students must complete a compulsory 60-hour crash course covering either introductory programming or humanities writing skills, depending on which gap in their background needs filling.
The course is delivered in a blended format, mixing face-to-face and online teaching, and content is bilingual across English and French. Later semesters move from research methodology and web scraping through to the legal and ethical framework around digital humanities work, culminating in a final dissertation alongside either an internship or the setup and defence of an actual tech start-up.
Entry requires the Higher School Certificate plus a two-year university diploma, or two years of study at a recognised university in any field, making the route accessible to diploma holders moving across from a different discipline.
