Overview

Run as a dual-award degree with the Université de Limoges in France, this honours programme in banking and finance leads to a jointly conferred "Double Diplôme National," recognised in both Mauritius and across the European Higher Education Area. Teaching is delivered entirely in English, with the curriculum building a solid grounding in banking operations, financial analysis and the broader economic environment those institutions operate within. Graduates come out prepared for entry-level roles across financial services, spanning retail and corporate banking, risk and credit assessment work, support roles in investment and securities, trade-finance and treasury functions, plus compliance-support and economic-research positions. A work placement toward the end of the programme adds direct industry exposure. The honours route is completed full time over three years under the standard full-degree pathway, combining ethical grounding with technical competence in both financial systems and their wider economic impact.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: HSC/BAC/BT or equivalent required: pass in 3 subjects at A-level plus 1 at subsidiary level, OR 2 subjects at A-level plus 2 at subsidiary level (Higher School Certificate), OR 3 subjects at A-level at the London GCE. Top-up BSc entry accepts a Diplome d'Universite en Sciences et Technologies (DUST) or equivalent diploma; top-up Bachelor of Engineering entry accepts an engineering degree or equivalent.
