The college became an autonomous institution in 1980 and today enrols more than 1,300 students in its regular program stream, alongside roughly a thousand adults in continuing education. Three-year technical programs lead directly into the workforce, spanning nursing, business administration, computer science technology, pharmacy technology, police technology, and agricultural business management, several delivered with paid work terms or supervised internships. The campus houses applied research and technology-transfer centres, including COlab for digital innovation and Agrinova for agri-food technology, giving students exposure to industry projects alongside coursework.
