Business Analytics Graduate Certificate is a postgraduate certificate in Business Intelligence programme offered by British Columbia Institute of Technology in Burnaby, Canada. The programme runs for 9 months, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition for international students is CAD 18,400 per total (CAD 9,100 per total for local students).
BCIT's Business Analytics Graduate Certificate is a full-time, nine-month program delivered in a blended format at the Downtown Vancouver campus: students attend one evening classroom session each week, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m., and complete additional coursework online through BCIT's Learning Hub. The program follows a cohort model across two terms and six graduate-level courses totalling 19 credits. Term 1 includes Theory of Business Data Analytics, Foundations of Applied Business Analytics, and Utilizing Data Structures for Business Analytics; Term 2 includes Quantitative Methods for Business Analytics, Analytic Models for Business Decisions, and a 12-week Business Analytics Capstone Project in which students work with a real organization on an authentic analytics problem. Admission requires a four-year bachelor's degree in any field, English proficiency at the graduate-studies level, prior statistics coursework, competence in Microsoft Excel, and relevant business or management experience; students must supply their own Windows laptop. Coursework aligns with the requirements for IIBA's Certification in Business Data Analytics. The program suits professionals moving into analytics from non-analytics backgrounds such as marketing, HR, or finance, as well as career-changers aiming for roles such as business intelligence analyst or data analyst.
