Overview
Cognitive Science is a Bachelor of Cognitive Science (BCogSc) offered by Carleton University, combining psychology, philosophy, linguistics, neuroscience and computer science to study cognition, perception and emotion. Students choose one of five concentrations: Biological Foundations of Cognition, Cognition and Computation, Cognition and Psychology, Language and Linguistics, and Philosophical and Conceptual Issues, with an Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Modelling stream available to students with third-year standing who meet a minimum CGPA requirement. The programme gives access to research facilities including the Visualization and Simulation Centre, the Science of Imagination Lab and the Language and Brain Lab. Students may complete an Honours Thesis, working with a faculty supervisor on independent research, or an Honours Project, completing a group research project. A Co-op option provides paid work experience. Graduates have gone on to positions in government, media, post-secondary institutions, high-tech, banking, investment firms and historical societies.

Admission Requirements: The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including a minimum of six 4U or M courses. The six 4U or M courses must include a 4U course in English (or anglais).
