This three-year DEC program prepares students for careers in business administration and management. The first year provides a common foundation in general business and management topics; in the second and third years, students specialize in one of two profiles: Administration and Accounting, which trains technicians in financial administration and accounting, or Marketing and Communication Management, which trains technicians in marketing and business communication. Coursework covers financial management, accounting principles, and organizational administration relevant to enterprises. Graduates receive a Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC) and are qualified to work as administrative or accounting technicians, or in marketing and communications roles, in businesses and organizations. Students who complete Secondary 5 Mathématiques Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles may pursue a DEC-BAC pathway directly into a university bachelor's program in accounting sciences. Instruction is in French.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires meeting Cégep de Chicoutimi's general DEC admission conditions: applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES) with the required secondary-level course units, or a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) that includes the required secondary-level language and mathematics courses; applicants without a DES or DEP may be admitted if the Cégep considers their prior training equivalent, or if they have sufficient training and experience and have been out of full-time study for at least 36 months. Students who plan to continue into the DEC-BAC in accounting sciences must additionally have completed Mathématiques Technico-sciences or Sciences naturelles in Secondary 5. Applications are submitted through the regional admission service (SRASL).
