This three-year DEC trains physiotherapy technologists in anatomy, biology, and the mechanics of human movement, preparing them to work directly with patients on the promotion, prevention, maintenance, and rehabilitation of functional capacity for musculoskeletal, joint, and nervous-system conditions. Students learn to apply therapeutic treatments including mobilization, massage, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and thermotherapy under professional supervision. The program emphasizes real patient contact, particularly with elderly clients and those with orthopedic or rheumatological conditions, through an on-site clinic-school that serves the community. Graduates are prepared to work alongside physiotherapists in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and private clinics, applying evidence-based treatment techniques to restore and maintain patients' physical function. Because the role is physically demanding, the program expects applicants to have good overall health, including physical endurance and tolerance for prolonged standing, alongside proof of primary vaccination for placement in public-health clinical settings.
