Program details
Overview
Industrial Processes Technology is a three-year technical Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC), program code 210.DO, offered at Cégep de Lévis, covering chemical engineering technology as applied to industrial manufacturing. Students learn to operate production equipment, monitor industrial processes, and maintain environmental compliance in the fabrication of products such as cosmetics, food, fuels, adhesives, plastics, ores, paints, detergents, paper, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals. The program combines process-engineering fundamentals, chemistry, and instrumentation with hands-on laboratory and plant-equipment training across its six semesters, building toward the operation and troubleshooting of full production lines. Later semesters emphasize applied projects on process equipment representative of industrial plant settings. The program is delivered on campus and prepares graduates for technologist roles in process operation, quality control, and environmental monitoring within manufacturing industries.
