Overview
Comptabilite et gestion financiere informatisee is an AEC continuing-education program at Cegep Marie-Victorin building competencies in accounting and financial management using computerized systems, including reading and correcting financial statements and automating accounting operations. It draws on tools and techniques spanning finance, marketing and resource management. It is delivered online, full-time, on weekday evenings and Saturday daytimes, over five sessions totalling twenty-one months. Admission requires the secondary-5 mathematics prerequisite (Mathematique 436 or 526, or an equivalent science sequence) plus training judged sufficient by the college and one of the standard AEC eligibility conditions: an interruption of full-time study or full-time post-secondary study for at least two consecutive sessions or one school year; an agreement between the college and an employer, or coverage under a government programme; an interruption of one session followed by one session of post-secondary study; or holding a Diplome d'etudes professionnelles. Candidates must pass the college's French pre-selection test.
