Overview
This Bachelor of Computer Science program, offered through Concordia's Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, builds a broad foundation in theory, mathematics, programming methodology, computer architecture, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering, with further study available in areas such as high-performance computing, networks, and artificial intelligence. Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), depending on the student's academic background, with courses delivered on the Sir George Williams campus and admission in the Fall and Winter terms. Students may pursue an optional cooperative education stream, alternating academic terms with paid work placements lasting 12 to 16 weeks at employers such as McKesson Canada and NeuroRx Research. An Honours option becomes available after 30 credits, and an integrated path lets students count up to 16 credits toward both the bachelor's degree and a Master of Engineering, shortening the route to graduate study. The program suits students with strong mathematics backgrounds aiming for careers spanning health care, communications, manufacturing, banking, retail, electronics, and entertainment.

Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Quebec CEGEP requires a DEC with an overall average of 25 and a mathematics average of 26 in Calculus 1, Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra; holders of an eligible technical DEC (420.A0, 420.B0 or 420.A1) may qualify without these prerequisites, though a 26 average in math applies if the courses were taken. Ontario and other Canadian high-school applicants need a B overall average and B+ in a Grade 12 pre-calculus or calculus course; IB Diploma applicants need 29 points overall with 4 Higher Level or 5 Standard Level in mathematics. Concordia's institution-wide English proficiency minimum applies unless exempt: IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5, TOEFL iBT 70, or Duolingo 105. Fall applications are due March 1 (February 1 for U.S. and international applicants) and Winter applications November 1 (August 1 for U.S. and international applicants).

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants, including Quebec CEGEP graduates, apply directly to Concordia: for Fall 2027 entry (September start) the application deadline is 1 March 2027, and for Winter 2027 entry (January start) it is 1 November 2026; not all programs admit in Winter. Concordia sets the same formal deadlines for U.S. and international applicants but strongly recommends applying earlier - by 1 February 2027 for Fall or 1 August 2026 for Winter - to allow time for immigration processing. Late applications are considered if space remains, and Concordia does not publish a separate application-opening date. Graduate programs, including the Executive MBA, set their own per-program deadlines rather than following this university-wide undergraduate date.
