Overview
This joint Bachelor of Computer Science combines Concordia's Computer Science and Computation Arts programs, training digital artists who use algorithms and computational theory to create interactive multimedia. Coursework covers programming paradigms as they relate to digital art and design, techniques for 3D digital production, and computer systems for processing sound and digital media, supported by state-of-the-art labs for 3D graphics, high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. Full-time study takes a minimum of three to four years (90-120 credits), with classes held on Concordia's Sir George Williams campus.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Quebec CEGEP requires an overall average of 26 and a math average of 26, including Calculus 1, Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra; Ontario and other Canadian high-school applicants need a B overall average and B+ in math, with one math course such as Pre-Calculus or Calculus; IB Diploma applicants need 29 points overall with 4 HL or 5 SL mathematics. Applicants must submit a portfolio and a letter of intent. Admission to this program is available for the Fall term only.
