Overview
This Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, offered through Concordia's Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, builds a foundation in cybersecurity theory and practice, teaching students to secure systems, detect threats and respond to real-world incidents. Coursework covers secure software development, security management, network security and security auditing, with customizable electives in blockchain, IoT security, cybercrime investigation and ethical hacking. Students have access to paid co-op placements, summer internships and industry-sponsored projects with partners such as Hydro-Québec and Ericsson. Full-time study takes three to four years (90-120 credits), with classes held on Concordia's Sir George Williams campus.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Direct entry from Quebec CEGEP requires an overall average of 25 and a math average of 26, including Calculus 1, Calculus 2 and Linear Algebra; Ontario and other Canadian high-school applicants need a B overall average and B+ in math, with one math course such as Pre-Calculus or Calculus; IB Diploma applicants need 29 points overall with 4 HL or 5 SL mathematics. Admission is available for the Fall and Winter terms.
