Overview
Bachelor of Cybersecurity (BCyber) is a standalone undergraduate degree at Carleton University focused on the computer science side of cybersecurity, covering the broad range of current and anticipated threats to computer and network security and the solutions to address them. The programme is designed for students strong in math and science who are interested in a career in computer and network security, and it includes almost all of the computer science content of Carleton's Bachelor of Computer Science, giving graduates a wide range of career options beyond security-focused roles. The programme was designed by Carleton's cybersecurity research team. A Co-op option provides paid work terms for employability skill development and workplace experience. Graduates pursue careers such as computer forensics, information systems security, security architecture and engineering, security incident response, software design and development, software security lead development, vulnerability assessment and analysis, and web services and infrastructure, drawing on Ottawa's concentration of high-tech companies and government organizations.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, including a minimum of six 4U or M courses. The six 4U or M courses must include Advanced Functions, and Calculus and Vectors.
