Overview
This Certificate in Community and Organizational Leadership, offered by Concordia's Faculty of Arts and Science through the Department of Applied Human Sciences, is designed for students with practical work experience in the social services sector who want additional training in their field. The 30-credit program helps students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to bring about effective change in special-needs groups, organizations and communities, and can be completed with an emphasis in Community Intervention, Health Promotion or Organizational Leadership. Coursework is delivered in small-group settings and can be customized to the student's career objectives, allowing students to tailor the program to the populations and settings they already work with. Classes are held on the Loyola campus in Montreal, with entry in the Fall or Winter term, and the program is aimed at practitioners already working in the social services field rather than students entering directly from secondary school.
