Overview
The Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering is a course-based, non-thesis program offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, and may be completed on a part-time basis. Coursework spans aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, biomechanics, combustion and energy systems, design and manufacturing, dynamics and control, materials and structures, vibrations and acoustics, fluid-structure interaction, computational fluid dynamics, and advanced materials and nanotechnology. Students have access to research and experimental facilities including a major wind tunnel, alongside extensive computational resources, and can collaborate through cross-university centres such as the Centre for Intelligent Machines, the McGill Institute for Advanced Materials, and the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital.
